Why duct cleaning gets skipped
It is the hardest part of the job. It means ceiling access, scraping vertical risers, and often cutting new panels. Low-bid vendors clean the visible hood and move on, which is why we frequently find quarter-inch deposits in ducts that were 'cleaned' three months earlier.
Our duct cleaning method
- Map the run and locate or create access every 12 feet and at each change of direction
- Contain the area, then scrape heavy deposits by hand
- Apply degreaser and hot-water pressure wash to bare metal
- Vacuum and collect all runoff, no grease in your drains or on the roof
- Seal, gasket and label every access panel
- Photograph each opening before and after
Insurance and inspection ready
Your service report notes any areas that remain inaccessible, as NFPA 96 requires, along with a recommendation to correct them. That written record is what protects you in a claim.
